Educational Evolution of Damoh District
Historically classified as an educationally backward district in the Bundelkhand region of Madhya Pradesh, Damoh faced substantial hurdles in literacy and school access. Through sustained interventions under the District Primary Education Programme (DPEP) and subsequent nationwide initiatives such as Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan (SSA) and Samagra Shiksha, the district has made giant strides toward Universalization of Elementary Education (UEE).
Today, a comprehensive network of government institutions caters to children from early childhood through higher technical levels. The primary focus of DIET Hatta and the District Education Administration is on foundational learning quality (FLN), equity, teacher professional development, and bridging retention disparities across all seven educational development blocks.
